Since we’re studying unshortened cakes like a Genoise, we decided to make our very first. Here’s a little info about what we found out.
Genoiseis named after its place of origin, Genoa Italy and belongs to the family of light and airy sponge cakes. This Chocolate Genoise has a little cocoa powder in the batter which adds a mild chocolate flavor and turns the cake a lovely dark chocolate brown color.
It takes time to prepare this lovely cake.
