Servsafe: Chicken tenders

Chicken tender lab is the first lab for chapter 1 in servsafe. Students are ready to jump into the kitchen after being away for a semester or more in foods.

IMG_1830We practice using our electric skillet and safely frying at 350 degrees and checking internal temperatures when done.

IMG_1829Students use our ever so friendly digital thermometer which we’ll dive into studying deeply in chapter 4 of servsafe. For now, we’re just keeping real and safe with our first lab.
