It’s Pimp Your Pie week in foods 1. I love this 2-day project because students problem-solve, critically think and create a new food product.
I ask students to form a plan how they would like their pie to look.
Students learn to form a plan, follow a plan and evaluate the results.
There’s always a winning pie in every class. Next year, I think I’m going to award ribbons to make the students feel even more special.
I ask teachers to vote online for their favorite pie. This year I gave the winning groups homemade apple pie for their reward. They enjoy this lab so much and it thrills my heart to see sweet success for first pies.
Just look at this team work going into the web pie.
Truly a winning pie with many hands.
And the best pies were…
Spider web and lattice top.
It’s always a good day when you can get your football players to show off their skirts 🙂
