Today I put out 12 items for Foods 2 students to identify as accept or reject in the flow of food. Since I had some expired items and not so pretty produce, it was easy to pull out some items in the pantry and fridge.
I had a column for them to list the items and I had a column to accept or reject and a column for students to briefly explain why.
Here’s some appetizing carrots in my refrigerator. So scary, Mrs. Brown.
It worked out well since I had several items for them to look at. I even had a bag of frozen peppers and onions that had been re-frozen. Yes, really.
