It was a gorgeous day for our field trip with Foods 1 and Foods 2. We were fortunate enough to tour and visit three farms: Hickory Nut Gap Farm, Flying Cloud Farm and Troyers Amish Blatz. Students enjoyed the baby chicks, cows, goats, apples and cider, catered lunch, flowers and vegetables, sorghum stalks, cinnamon rolls, cookies, trikes, corn hole, culvert slides, corn maze and so much more.
I love watching students enjoy our beautiful Asheville culture and learning about farm to fork. Students toured Hickory Nut Gap Farm and they enjoyed the real food from the farm. It’s truly a farm to fork experience.
